Recently, Rosie, the Bichon Frise, managed to give herself a makeover that caught her mom by surprise. Tracey Collin, Rosie’s owner, was sitting in her living room when the pup snuck into the kitchen. She decided to check the bin, where she found an ink cartridge. Minutes later, Rosie’s white-as-snow fur turned bright blue.
The day before, the seven-year-old dog had just gone to the salon where she had a £40 cut and blow-dry. However, for Rosie, that was not enough reason to reconsider giving the bin a good rummage. Of course, among all the things that she found in the trash can, the one that took her fancy the most was the discarded ink cartridge.
Tracey, a former charity worker, never realized what her dog had been up to until she got up to make a coffee. The fur mom had the shock of her life upon finding out that her four-legged pal had already turned herself into a “Smurf.” Rosie, on the other hand, seemed so pleased with herself.
Initially, Tracey wondered why Rosie was blue and thought it was just a reflection in the glass. It was after she spotted the ink cartridge on the floor when it dawned on her that her dog’s perfect white fur had been covered in blue ink.
Tracey hurriedly went to the bath to wash Rosie while frantically calling Robert, her husband. She asked him if he could take Rosie back to the groomers.
Then, Tracey took a snap of her naughty pup in the bathtub while sheepishly looking at the camera. The blue ink was all over her face and paws. To get rid of the dye, the groomers had to shave off parts of Rosie’s fur. However, she was stuck with bluish nails for weeks.
To prevent this from happening again, the family decided to invest in some new bins. Although she is a cheeky little lady, Rosie is her family’s wee start, and they love her with all their hearts.
