We love our dogs so much that we see them as family, and if ever a family member is in grave danger, we do all that we can to help them. Our pups are willing to risk their lives to save ours, and many dog owners out there are ready to do the same for them.
Back in March of 2019, just before the coronavirus lockdowns started happening worldwide, a man risked his life to save his dog. This dog-loving hero is Adam Guzman. A fire broke out in the Guzman residence, and luckily, nobody was at home, except for their pittie Gabbana.
When Adam arrived at the scene, he saw the firefighters doing their best to stop the blaze. Despite his house burning down, there was only one thing on his mind, and that is to save Gabbana. In the news clip below, Adam was seen running towards the house, but then he stopped when he saw the huge wall of flame in front of him.
He explained that he hesitated at that moment because he could feel the intense heat, and he wasn’t sure what was behind that wall of fire. But despite the firefighters telling him not to go inside, Adam finally made that decision and ran inside to find Gabbana.
It was nerve-racking for everyone waiting outside. They said that it felt like Adam was in there for so long. But in reality, he was in and out in seconds. He found Gabbana hiding behind their toilet; frightened, but safe and sound. When the two of them came running back out, everyone outside breathed a sigh of relief.
Adam shared to ABC 10 News that his family would’ve been devastated if anything were to happen to Gabbana. This is coming from a man who just lost all of his possessions. The Guzmans’ neighbors have been supportive of their recovery, aiding them with everything they needed to get back on their feet.
