Remy and Bomber, a hound and a Papillion, apparently got bored while their owner was at work. The result was a barrage of 911 calls.
Lakeville, Minnesota Officers Roberts and her partner Officer Emily Bares were dispatched to a residence after the first 911 hang up call was received.
When no one answered the doorbell, the officers walked around the house before clearing the call. Upon hearing that dispatch was still receiving 911 hang up calls from that residence, the officers investigated further. The dispatcher could hear dogs barking in the background but no other clues.
After getting ahold of the owners the officers gained access to the house and found the owner’s cell phone set to emergency only call. In theory a dog could’ve called 911 with his paw.
The owner was stunned to think his dogs would do such a thing.
